Jane Fisher, an academic Clinical and Health Psychologist, is Finkel Professor of Global Public Health, Professor of Women’s Health and Director of the Global and Women’s Health Unit in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University. She is Immediate Past President (2018 – 2020) of the International Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health. Jane has longstanding interests in gender-based risks for women’s reproductive and mental health, and of how these can be addressed in psychologically-informed clinical practices and health promotion strategies. Her research includes projects to understand and address women’s and children’s health in Australia and Vietnam, and she supervises PhD students from throughout the Indo-Pacific region. She maintains clinical practice at Masada Private Hospital Early Parenting Centre. Jane is a technical advisor to the World Health Organization in the areas of maternal mental health and early childhood development.
