Professor and physiotherapy programme leader, Tung Wah College, Hong Kong

    Professor Szeto joined Tung Wah College in January 2018, as the inaugural program leader for the BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy, which commenced in September the same year. Prior to this, she taught in the undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy programs in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for over 20 years.

    A registered Physiotherapist in both Hong Kong and Australia, Professor Szeto’s research interest lies in work-related musculoskeletal disorders, especially neck and upper limb disorders in computer users. Her research expertise is on ergonomic and biomechanics. In recent years, her research has focused on the use of mobile devices and the effects on neck-shoulder pain.

    She is serving as a Member of the Hong Kong Occupational Safety & Health Council, and as chairlady of their research committee. She is also the honorary advisor of the Occupational Health, Safety and Rehabilitation Specialty Group of the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association.

    She has published over 60 papers in internationally renowned journals, and is a member of the editorial board for the Applied Ergonomics and Musculoskeletal Science & Practice journals.
